There are conventions. There are gaming conventions. And then there’s Spiel Essen. The kind of place where the halls are big enough to make you seriously reconsider the usefulness of a step counter. The kind of place where you walk in saying, “I’ll just have a quick look around” and, four hours later, you find yourself on the other side of the fair with three boxes under your arm, a bag full of promos you have no idea where to put, and the vague feeling that you’ve forgotten something. You probably forgot your wallet.
From October 22nd to 25th, 2026, Messe Essen will once again become the gravitational centre of the board game world: publishers, designers, illustrators, players, new releases, prototypes, demos, tournaments and enough meeples to build a small country. And, of course, we at The Dicetroyers will be there too.
You’ll find us in Hall 3, Booth 3K300, right next to our partners, Pendragon Game Studio. Yes, we know: finding your way around Essen, between halls, corridors and booths, can feel like a worker-placement game on expert difficulty. But don’t worry: write down the number, open the map and head straight for us. Because we have one very simple goal: to save you time. A rather interesting contradiction, considering you’ll be at a convention where time is systematically devoured by games, demos, purchases and conversations like: “How long does this game take?” “Oh, about an hour.” “Perfect.” Three hours later: “Guys, has anyone seen my backpack?”
If you know us, you already know where this is going. Because we at The Dicetroyers have a particular obsession: setup. That thing which should be a simple “let’s get the game ready and start” but, in some cases, turns into an archaeological expedition. Cards to sort, tokens to find, cubes scattered everywhere, miniatures stuffed into questionable bags, and that one essential component which, naturally, has ended up underneath the rulebook.
That’s where we come in: turning box chaos into something organised, functional and, most importantly, ready to play. At Essen, we’ll be bringing organizers and accessories for board games, designed to make setup, gameplay and putting everything away easier. Not just little boxes for putting “stuff in its place”, but solutions designed around the game and everything that happens before, during and after a session.
Because our real enemy isn’t the final boss. It’s bag number 7. The one labelled “miscellaneous”.
And then there are the accessories. Because organizing the box is important, but the table deserves some love too. Card holders, accessories and clever solutions for keeping everything within easy reach: all those little things that might not seem essential… until you try them. Then something strange happens: you start wondering how you ever played without them.
And of course, Essen is the perfect place to see all of this in person. You’ll be able to get your hands on our products, take a closer look, try them out and, most importantly, talk to us. Because behind every organizer there’s one question we keep asking ourselves: “Can we make it better?”
So, are we seeing you in Essen? For us, the answer is pretty simple: yes.
See you from October 22nd to 25th, in Hall 3 – Booth 3K300, with our organizers and accessories, ready to talk about games, setup, boxes that refuse to close properly, and that wonderful little obsession that makes us think: “This is a great game. But… I’m pretty sure we could fit an organizer in that box.”
Come and say hi. Bring your questions, your favourite games and, if you really want to, your boxes full of components in complete disarray. We’ll try to do what we do best.
Destroying the chaos.
See you in Essen!
