From May 22nd to 24th, 2026, Bologna will once again officially become the place where thousands of people voluntarily gather to spend hours discussing meeples, dice, miniatures, and 48-page rulebooks. In other words: PLAY – Festival del Gioco is back, and we at The Dicetroyers will be there, as always.
We’ll be at the fair for everyone who looks at a box full of loose components and, instead of panicking, thinks: “this needs an insert.” While others see chaos, mixed tokens, and badly closed zip bags, we see wooden trays and organization.
This year again, we’ll bring to PLAY our world of organizers, inserts, and solutions designed to drastically reduce the time needed to set up a game. Because modern board games are epic and all, but spending forty minutes digging through the bottom of a box for components should not be part of the experience.
Anyone in the board gaming world knows the truth: the real final boss isn’t the complicated rulebook. It’s the setup.
And that’s exactly where we at The Dicetroyers come in: fewer flying plastic bags, fewer unstable piles of cards, fewer “has anyone seen the purple cubes?”. More time actually playing.
At PLAY 2026 we’ll naturally bring organizers, but also accessories and our endless enthusiasm for explaining every detail of our catalog. For us, the fair isn’t just an event: it’s the one place where we can spend hours talking about what we do without anyone looking at us like we’re aliens. Actually, we often meet people even more obsessed than we are.
And let’s be honest: PLAY has that unique atmosphere that brings together families, dungeon-crawling veterans, compulsive collectors, and people who “just came to take a quick look” and three hours later are buying their fifth game of the weekend.
We’ll be there, probably surrounded by open boxes, wooden components, and players discovering the joy of a well-designed insert.
