This is the ultimate game that merges the analog of the boardgame with the digital of computing: we’ll actually be Breachers — computer hackers — up against the ultimate Firewall, which will try to block our path with its ICE and, of course, its Guardian.
Throughout all of this we’ll have to open breaches to steal all the sensitive data and then run for our lives!
Turning a game board into a database, hackers’ efforts into Avatars that look like warriors, archers or mages, and CAPTCHAs into Guardians that seem to have stepped out of The Lord of the Rings is simply sublime — it transforms keyboard tinkering and binary code into an epic battle on the tabletop.
Of course, where there are programs there are bugs, and this game’s main flaw is, naturally, the endless setup time.
