It is a period of civil wars in the galaxy. Rebel spaceships, striking from a hidden base, have won their first battle against the evil Galactic Empire.
This is how began the great conflict between the Rebel Alliance and the Galactic Empire, which would have led to the fall of the latter and the birth of the New Republic.
But what if the story would have turned out differently?
Star Wars Rebellion is a board game that allows players to relive the Galactic Civil War by siding with the Rebels or with the Empire in this asymmetrical wargame.
As a matter of fact the two factions have very different resources and objectives.
The Empire has brute strength thanks to its legions of Stormtroopers and its vast fleet, not to mention that it can even deploy the dreaded Death Star to destroy entire planets! And this is precisely its goal: to find the secret base of the Rebels (have you already tried on Yavin IV?) and suppress the fire of the revolution, ensuring order and prosperity.
The Rebels cannot match that powerful army, so they must find allies, carry out sabotage operations and steal imperial plans; these actions will not defeat the Empire, but will inspire the galaxy to rebel, and that is the goal of the faction … Because after all, aren’t all rebellions based on hope?
Over 150 miniatures can be placed on the board for the two armies, including 25 leaders with some of the most famous characters of Star Wars, whose actions will be marked by over 80 tokens and over 150 cards … And all of this without mentioning The Rise of the Empire expansion inspired by Rogue One!
Before bringing order and stability to the galaxy (with a totalitarian or republican meaning, the choice is yours), first you need to bring order and stability to the game box … and the Chosen One which will take care of this task is the Organizer of Star Wars Rebellion!Â
The Organizer, also capable of accommodating the Rise of the Empire expansion, arranges each faction in five boxsets (distinguished by the symbols of Empire and Alliance) allowing you to quickly deploy your army and immediately leave for that galaxy far away created by Mr Lucas.
Therefore each faction will have three containers for miniatures, one of which is dedicated to the ground troops with dedicated slots for bases, and two containers for the fleet, engraved with the shapes of spaceships alongside the corresponding spaces.
Another box lines up all the leaders, keeping the image of the pawn clearly visible in order to be able to take the one desired without hesitation.
The last box holds cards, dices and tokens of the faction… and, only for the Empire, dedicated slots for AT-ATs and Death Stars (yes there is more than one!).
Last but not least, there is a special box dedicated to the quick setup of the game, thus it contains common elements of the board, tokens, cards and player sheets.
